It all started with a trip to Marrakech

It all began in 1996, during my first trip to Marrakech. I fell in love instantly with this vibrant city, its lights, its contrasts… and that idea—almost intuitive: one day, perhaps.
The years went by, punctuated by numerous trips back and forth between France and Morocco. A deep connection was forged, nourished by encounters, inspiration, and a growing passion. Until that dream came to life in 2019: we renovated our first riad in the heart of the Medina and began welcoming travelers from around the world, eager to share much more than just a stay.
Joined by our son Pierre, we’ve developed a collection of riads available for exclusive rental in the Marrakech medina, all carefully restored to highlight local craftsmanship: traditional materials, artisanal pieces, and treasures hunted down in the souks.
And so The Riad Society was born. A new vision of hospitality in Marrakech that reinvents the art of staying in the Medina. Here, you’ll find the soul of traditional riads—the welcome, the warmth, the attention—combined with a unique experience: the exclusive use of the entire riad, just for you and your loved ones.
